Happy Friday! Let me start off by apologizing for my unexpectedly prolonged absence. Last week I was vacationing in Florida with my family. Of course we were visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and let. me. tell. YOU. The newer Diagon Alley area in Universal Orlando is something to be seen, my friends. It is SO fun and I highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in Florida. The only downside to the entire trip? Trying to eat vegan at an amusement park. Oh my lawd, there are so few options for us plant-based peeps. Thankfully though my mom realized Amazon Prime Now delivered to our hotel, so I just ordered all the vegan snacks they offered and then brought them into the parks with me. (So if you are vegan and do plan to go, just make sure you plan ahead. Also would a blog post on how I managed to make it work interest anyone? If so, I'll write it... aaand if not, I won't.) Anyway, then I returned home to Cali and straight to work it was. And that is why I've been MIA recently -- but I'm back today with this early spring-like OOTD!

Does anyone else feel like 2018 is just flying right past? I do. How are we already halfway through February? Every time I look at the calendar I can't believe that's the actual date. 2018 is shaping up to be one of the fastest years of my life so far, but I'm excited for what's in store!

Weekend Rewind

Hi!  How was your weekend?

Mine was spent with family & friends, which of course means it was a fantastic time!  On Friday one of my very best friends from grade school & her boyfriend came down to Florida from South Carolina, so we had dinner and drinks together.  On Saturday Matt & I headed to Orlando to kick off my birthday celebrations [a few days early] with my dad, sister, and brother-in-law at Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure.  We finished the night at the ever classic Cheesecake Factory before attending a bridal shower on Sunday afternoon.  All in all, I'd say it was a pretty successful weekend in my book!

I jumped up on this stone wall so I could check out the newest Wizarding World of Harry Potter construction that is going on at Universal Studios Orlando right now.  [For those interested: it's gonna be biiig.]

 Don't mind my ridiculous strand of bangs in the middle of my forehead.  I wasn't having a good bang day with the wind, haha.

Droid Diaries: Life as of Late

Hi all!  Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday so far!

I wanted to do a quick post today to share some Instagram shots.  I love the app because it's such an innovative way to not only showcase your favorite photos (& make them look cooler), as well as check out your friends' lives even if they aren't near -- but you can also scroll all the way back to weeks, months, and (if you are cooler than I am & have an iPhone) years past whenever you are feeling nostalgic.  Does anyone else ever do that?  Look back at their old Instagrams when they want to remember a moment or event?  Orrrr am I making myself look like a weirdo again because I sometimes oftentimes cyber stalk myself?  Regardless, I'm not too ashamed to admit that I sometimes find myself scrolling down and looking at my original Instagram posts and smiling :)

Hey all!  You've made it to Friday!
I hope you had an amazing Valentine's Day :) Now what are your weekend plans?

For me, this past weekend consisted of making smores over a fire pit in our backyard, our pets, and a trip to Orlando -- which also tends to mean a trip to Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios!  For those of you who don't know, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan (Hufflepuff, rep!) so a journey to IoA includes most of the day being spent at the Wizard World of Harry Potter, sipping butterbeer and riding roller coasters!  One of my boyfriend and mine's best friends from college joined us, which made it all the more fun.  I thought I'd share some pictures from the weekend, especially for any of you who have wanted to check out WWoHP but haven't gotten a chance to come to Orlando.
