Whoa. Let me start off by apologizing for the huge lapse in time since my last post. Life happened and I got way behind on LunaVida. During the past three weeks of absence though, I did turn 29 years old! It's pretty crazy to think that was my last birthday of my 20s. Matt and I celebrated by going to our favorite sanctuary, Farm Animal Refuge, and hanging out with the sweet, rescued babes. (Check out some of the photos of the cuties here!) It was a dream come true as far as birthdays come. I'm grateful for the work they're doing - and for another year on this here planet.

Happy Friday Eve and 1st Day of March! Do you want to know something I've noticed since moving to San Diego? (Well, I'm telling you regardless of your answer.) We are always two months behind everyone else's weather. Case in point being that everyone is starting to talk about the sunny warmer days they're experiencing. Now, granted, that type of weather is a mainstay in Southern California; however, lately we've been getting cold fronts as I've mentioned. Yes, we may consider "cold" fronts anything under 70 degrees but seriously, it's been consistently under 60 lately. And that is downright chilly for my weak, thin-blooded self. I can admit it. Living in climates that don't experience a real winter for the past decade has made me soft. There. I admit it. So now can we please get back to those breezy 75 degree spring days, Mother Nature?

Who else is ready for spring? Knowing that our California Winter Jr. pretty much just began here is a slight bummer but at least that means a few more weeks of sweaters and boots, I suppose.
