Hey there, hi there, ho there! I've got a secret: my birthday is coming up in a few days. It's a big one, too. I'm about to turn a quarter of a century (that's 25, for those who are slow on the pickup). I'm able to rent a car now. That's about all that changes though, right? I feel like I'm still really young, but I won't lie -- I'm totally starting to see my face age!!! I feel like I have bags under my eyes and a few smile wrinkles I've never had before. Oh geeze. But every time I find myself examining those new lines just a bit closer in the mirror I remind myself that it's the beginning of my face map from years of laughter... and it's also a stern reminder to continue to use the SPF 70 that I'm such a fan of in the summer but lazy about during the rest of the seasons. [Uh, Allie. Hello. You live in the desert. There is no such thing as an off day for the sun here. Get to usin' that sunscreen more regularly! End of self discussion]

Yellow peeptoe wedges: DSW $15
I've always been such a "birthday person," whether it's celebrating my own b-day or someone else's. I think it's nice to be reminded we each get our own personal holiday every year when we can be self indulgent and not be afraid to admit we should be our own #1 fans... Oh, and presents, too. I won't fake that I don't semi-enjoy giving/getting gifts ;)
