Hey there! How was your holiday? Mine was super, filled with lots of family time and games. We all became addicted to the game Cards Against Humanity. We played it, like, three nights in a row because it's so freaking funny. If you're into Apples to Apples (and a little bit perverted "off") then this game is for you. It's hilarious and hours of fun.
Speaking of fun, what are your plans for New Year's Eve? We are just staying in and hanging out with the rest of the family that's still in town. I always love New Year's, because the infinite possibilities of another year are a-knockin'. 2013 was honestly one of my best years yet. My niece, Lacey, was born - and she's pretty darn cute. Matt and I got rid of almost all of our things, packed up one Mazda 3 with what was left of our stuff and our cat and our dog, and moved from Florida to Arizona. Once there, we both got jobs that we love and appreciate every day. He works for a start-up company in Scottsdale, and I work for an animal welfare non-profit doing what I've always dreamed of: helping homeless animals find their "fur-ever" homes. Picking up and moving to Phoenix was truly one of the best decisions we've ever made. I can't imagine not living out West, and I cannot wait to see the adventures that are in store for 2014!

I know I keep harping on and on about Christmas... but, seriously. Guys. It's almost here. And I kid you not -- I am so behind that I still have all of my Christmas wrapping [and even a little shopping] left to do. Ah! Good thing I only have to work half the day on Christmas Eve so I can get that started done and prepare myself for the fun holiday festivities, too. It's okay though because I kinda like wrapping... well, no. Not exactly. I enjoy wrapping, like, the first 3 or so gifts. Then I'm promptly over it.

Hi there! Christmas is really sneaking up on me... like really, really. I haven't purchased very many gifts yet. Yikes. I have the day off from work today, so I plan to get as much shopping done as possible. This outfit is basically my errand-running uniform -- simple, straightforward, and comfy. Sometimes the simplest outfits are my favorites, though. Nothin' like the ease of an oversized tee, some distressed boyfriend jeans, and a pop of color to make things go round.

Hello There, My Dear: Sweatshirt + Denim + Boots

Hello there!
We are so close to the holidays, you guys - can you believe it?!  I'm getting pretty, pretty, prett-aaay psyched.  I've been prepping by eating all of my mom's early holiday treats... buckeyes, chocolate dipped sprinkle pretzels, candies, etc, etc, etc.  You name the sugary goodness, I am slamming it into my mouth.  Hopefully I can still fit into my clothes after this month ;P
Today's outfit post features this simple but darling sweatshirt.  I think it is so cute-sy.  Plus, it's really nice that fashion has taken a turn for the comfortable by making quirky sweatshirts acceptable weekend evening wear.  They are so easy to dress up or down.  I just added this statement necklace & some boots and BAM!  Outfit complete.
