I have been toying around with the idea of writing a blog for a while now. I could never get up the courage, but with some recent life changes, I decided "Why not?"
I love looking at fashion blogs for daily outfit inspiration like many girls out there. However, I can rarely justify spending a ton of money on clothes that are just trends. Therefore, LunaVida is a blog dedicated to the "every woman (or man)" who loves fashion, but not the price tags that typically go along with it.
My goal is to help people find amazing outfits for every occasion at the lowest prices possible. (Sometimes coupons and promo codes will need to be used, but isn't it worth it to save a few bucks??) Ultimately, I will try to make entire outfits for under $50.
Sans Souci polka dot hi-lo blouse: Gifted from my sister. She got it at T.J. Maxx for approximately $15.
-If you are into "mullet" shirts, here is a similar idea: Delia*s, $14.99
-If you like the color and polka dots, here are two different takes on the top: Forever 21, $17.50 and Forever 21, $19.80
To get the look just take any skinny belt you have to cinch the waist.
This particular belt came with a dress I bought a while ago.

American Eagle straight dark wash jeans: Old, from around 2008 (best to buy when AE has their "All jeans under $30" sales).
-Similar styles: American Eagle, $34.99 (currently on sale from $39.95) or Old Navy, $19.50
UPDATE 12/7: Funnily enough, AE.com is now having their sale with all jeans under $30 (and free shipping)!!

If this outfit seems out of season where you live, that's because it probably is. I live outside of Tampa, Florida so the only "seasons" we have here are "August is stifling... wish I could wear jeans for once" and "Hooray! It got down below 75 degrees. Time to bust out the infinity scarves and boots!"
However, I am originally from a small town outside of Cincinnati, Ohio so I know looking stylish in the harsh days of winter can become difficult. My advice to make this outfit more winter appropriate would be to try taking the sweater mentioned above route or add a blazer and boots. Cute and cozy!
I'll be back soon with more affordable fashion for you all!
Xoxo,
-Allie
Welcome to the blog-o-sphere!! I look forward to reading your blog :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I really appreciate it :) I will definitely be checking out your blog, too.
DeleteNice blog, Allie! But can I make a small correction... think back long, long ago... you probably have a much stronger connection to Cinci but you're actually from a small town outside of Toledo, Ohio called Monclova :) Hope you haven't forgotten those days!! Good luck in the blogosphere - I will definitely stay tuned to yours.

Thank you so much! Haha, yes, you are right- technically, I am from Monclova since I was born there. But since most of my life was spent in Loveland, that's where I consider my hometown :P I do still love both northern and southern Ohio, though :D Hope you are doing great!
